The project explores the experiences and perceptions of inequality among Eastern Finns, especially in terms of language use and social relations. The aim of the multidisciplinary project, which draws on sociolinguistics and sociology, is to examine experiences of social class, social mobility and inequality, as well as how people use linguistic variation to express their own background.
