Academy of Finland grants funding for research into digital humanities

The Academy of Finland has awarded 186,828 euros of funding to Professor of Psychology Marianna Virtanen from the 2019 Digital Humanities call (2020-22). Professor Virtanen is a member in a consortium led by Docent Annina Ropponen at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. The project is entitled Utilizing Digital Data to Improve Working Conditions in Health Care. The proposal was ranked 3rd in an evaluation involving a total of 17 proposals.

The Academy of Finland has selected five research consortia for funding under the second stage of the Digital Humanities (DIGIHUM) Academy Programme.  The consortia will receive three million euros in research funding. The projects are scheduled for launch in January 2020.
