Effects of coronavirus situation on library services (updating)

Libraries are open mainly for brief visits, such as borrowing and returning on the principle of self-service.

There are a limited number of reading spots in use. The reading spots are intended for use of material that cannot be borrowed outside the library.

Customer computers can be used following the hygiene and safety guidelines. In addition, loanable laptops are available.

For now, the group working spaces and the Carelia 24/7 facilities in Joensuu are not in use, as it is not possible to maintain safe distances or keeping the safe distances cannot be monitored.

The hygiene and safety guidelines of the university must be followed in the library premises.

The courses and other training sessions of the library will be organised online.
