UEF as an Employer

The University of Eastern Finland employs nearly 3000 persons. The majority belongs to the teaching and research staff, or otherwise work in related duties. The proportion of the administrative and auxiliary staff is approximately 20%.

The human resources policy of the University of Eastern Finland is human-oriented and competitive. The foundations of the human resources policy rest on well-being at work, respect for academic freedom, and professional leadership. The realisation of the human resources strategy is monitored in an annual human resources statement.
