Master's Degree Programme in General Toxicology and Environmental Health Risk Assessment (ToxEn)

Students apply either to General Toxicology or to Environmental Health risk assessment-  arm of the programme.

Toxicology and environmental science are applied sciences which are based on basic sciences like chemistry, biology, physiology and physics. The backbone for human toxicological risk assessment and exposure assessment is the understanding of the mechanisms of toxic effects in human body and good quality toxicity testing of new chemicals.

We provide an international master's degree programme where students, after common basic studies in toxicology and environmental science can specialize either in general toxicology including toxicological risk assessment or environmental health risk assessment with special emphasis on exposure assessment. The duration of the programme is two academic years and all teaching is given in English. Possibility to carry out part of the studies in other European countries is ensured by collaboration with other toxicology and/or environmental health programmes.
