Conferment Ceremonies 2010 | Conferment ceremonies 2010The Seventh Ceremonial Conferment of doctoral degrees took place on Kuopio campus during June 10th to June 12th, 2010. 138 young doctors who had graduated from the University of Kuopio were promoted as doctors in a festive ceremony. Also 16 distinguished individuals chosen by the University of Kuopio were promoted as Honorary Doctors. The ceremonies began with the Robe Inauguration Ceremony on Thursday, June 10th. The Conferment Ceremony took place on Friday June 11th. The ceremony was followed by a Conferment Service in the Kuopio Cathedral. In the evening of June 11th, the ceremonies continued with a banquet and a ball. On Saturday, June 12th there was a cruise on beautiful Lake Kallavesi. See photos from the ceremonies
