The law on occupational health care forms the basis of medical practice in the field. Prevention and occupational health focused nursing are the key aspects of occupational health care. Specialist training in occupational health care offers challenging and inspiring perspectives and expertise in an interesting field. Occupational health as a study field The duration of specialist training in occupational health is six years. In addition to traditional educational methods, we make use of new information and communication technology by means of e-learning. There are 100 medical doctors in specialist training at our unit. The unit also offers graduate studies in occupational medicine and occupational health. General studies in occupational health include a 3 ect worth couse "Työlääketiede ja työterveyshuolto", which takes place in the 5th year of the general medical studies. |
