Yuri Svirko, PhD, Professor

Yuri P. Svirko gained PhD from the Moscow State University, Moscow, in 1983. In 1994 he gained also DSci degree from Russian Academy of Science. From 1986 until 2001 he worked at the General Physics Institute (Moscow), the University of Southampton (UK), and University of Tokyo as a senior research fellow. His research interests concern interaction of laser radiation with nanostructures, plasmonics and metamaterials. Prof Svirko is a co-author of about 130 publications in peer-reviewed journals and three research monographs.
