STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAMME

The programme is organised into 4 modules. All students in the Borders Crossings programme take compulsory studies (Module 1, 20 credits) together in their first year (first and second semesters), and then take additional compulsory courses (Module 2, 40 credits) in their major (Human Geography or Sociology/Social and Public Policy). Students also have elective studies (Module 3, 20 credits) that may be selected from within the programme (any major) or from other departments at the university. The Master’s Thesis (Module 4, 40 credits) is a personal research project (third and final semesters) that is supervised by an appointed academic supervisor.
