The research activities in Computational Physics are manifold. Regarding computational approaches various industrial processes are studied and developed through mathematical modeling and inverse problem theory. Applications are considered in the field of electrical impedance tomography, optical tomography, large-scale model-based control and ultrasound transmission problems.

The research infrastructure include computer facilities for heavy-duty computing and a small-scale process environment for measurement system development.
