University of Lleida

The University of Lleida is a leading institution in Spain for teaching and research in Agronomy, Food Technology and Forestry. It ranked 1st in Spain in Life Sciences Research impact and Teaching Quality, according to the Knowledge and Development Foundation Report in 2008. Regarding forestry, the institution specialises in Mediterranean forestry, forest biological conservation and physical protection and non-wood forest products. Forestry in Lleida is taught in the School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering of Lleida, located on a modern campus close to the city.
