MSc EF application procedure, step-by-step

You will begin the application process on the national Studyinfo portal. Application form is available at only when the call for applications is open (1 November 2018 – 31 January 2019 at 15:00 (GMT +2)). Go to Studyinfo portal and begin the application:

Once you have filled in the online application and submitted it with the required eclosures (not recomendation letters), send all of your enclosures immediately to the Admissions Office of the University of Eastern Finland by mail.  Your application documents must arrive by the given deadline. E-mail attachments will not be accepted. We will not process application documents that have arrived after the deadline.

Note! Each student candidate can apply for an EMJMD scholarship to a maximum number of three different joint programmes, Erasmus Mundus Master’s Courses and Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate Programmes combined. The comprehensive eligibility criteria can be found at:

Application instructions in a nutshell

  • When the application period begins, fill in the online application form and make sure you have attached the required application enclosures (in pdf format).
  • Once you have submitted the application online, you need to send immediately the required enclosures by mail or by international courier service.  The mailing address is:

  • If you use a courier service, you need to give our phone number, which is +358 29  445 8990.
  • Make sure your application enclosures reach the Admissions Office of the University of Eastern Finland by the given deadline at 15.00 (GMT+2).
  • All mail will be processed in order of arrival and once your documents have been processed, you will receive an e-mail notification from the programme coordinator.

Application documents will not be returned to the applicant.

Note: The personal data of all applicants will be sent to the Agency and may be used by other bodies involved in the management of EMJMD acting as stakeholders of the programme (i.e. European Commission, Erasmus+ National Offices, EU Delegations, Erasmus Mundus students and Alumni Association) for facilitating student access to the joint programme.

Please note that:  If you are selected (proposed for a scholarship/fellowship, put on the reserve list or enrolled on a self-paying basis) your data may be used for the purposes of evaluating the programmes, efficiently manage the projects, and producing statistics. Data could be made available to the EACEA, the European Commission, the European External Action Service staff, as well as to other stakeholders of the Erasmus+ programme, such as Erasmus+ National Agencies, National Erasmus+ Offices and the Erasmus Mundus Student and Alumni Association.
