Main research interests:

  • Research interests include human-nature relations, environmental governance and resource dependent communities both empirically and conceptually. Special interests in new ways of conceptualizing the relations between human and non-human entities as being co-constructive members in different kinds of hybrid assemblages.
  • Forest industry related topics have been in the core of  research. Formerly the focus was on development of single-industry towns and environmental conflicts while more recently emphasis of research is on the performances of transnational forest governance processes and border relations in Northern Europe.
