WELCOME TO ECHO'S HOME PAGE

Echo, the English Students' Association at the University of Joensuu, was founded in 1975. Every year, over 50 new English students are accepted to study at the English Department in Joensuu and every English student, whether old or new, is welcome to join Echo.

What Echo is all about

You will get the best picture of what Echo is all about by visiting the Events page but in short, we organise different kinds of fun events somehow related to the English speaking culture, and try to help our students if any problems or suggestions occur concercing studying at the English Department. The board of Echo meets approximately once a month. At the moment, our chairperson is Tiia Joensuu.

How to join Echo?

Joining Echo is ridiculously easy: by paying 7 euros on our account (880007-10117461) you will be a member for life. Remember to put your name and the year you started studying English in the message box when you pay. Thank you.

Echo also has a forum, which you can find at echory.foorumit.fi. From there you can find information about both studies and free time activities.
