Gene Expression and Chromatin Structure in Health and Disease
A minisymposium organized by the Doctoral Program in Molecular Medicine, A. I. Virtanen Institute for Molecular Sciences, University of Eastern Finland
June 20, 2011
Snellmania building (Lecture hall L21), Kuopio, Finland
The minisymposium is intended for graduate/postgraduate students and senior scientists interested in the regulation of gene expression and chromatin structure. The symposium will be held at the Snellmania building, Kuopio campus, and is free of charge, but registration is needed.
There will be one day of talks by internationally recognized speakers and a poster session with refreshments. The symposium is open for both national and international participants. Abstracts for posters may be submitted at the registration site, at the latest by May 15, 2011. The poster sessions are aimed to give the students and researchers a possibility to introduce their own work. All attendees are encouraged to present a poster (even if not from the field of gene expression research).
The evening party will be held at the inland boat m/s Ukko and includes dinner with refreshments and cruising at the lake Kallavesi. The cruise and dinner are free of charge, but require separate registration. Please note that there is room for only 45 participants. If there is more willingness, the attendees will be chosen in the order of registrations.
Registration: Registration deadline is May 15, 2011.
