OSTPRE:
Kuopio Osteoporosis Risk Factor and  Prevention Study

OSTPRE Study - a population-based prospective cohort study begun in 1989 - investigates genetic and acquired factors associated with fractures, falls, BMD and bone loss in 14,220 peri- and postmenopausal women.

OSTPRE- study will obtain new information about the natural history and pathogenesis of early postmenopausal bone loss as well as about genetic and acquired factors affecting bone loss, fractures and falls.
